General
What is Twinnin?
Twinnin is a platform for protecting, licensing, and managing human identity in the age of AI. It allows people to register their face and optional voice, create a verifiable record of identity, and — if they choose — make their digital twin available for licensed commercial use.
What does “Only Originals” mean?
It means Twinnin is built around real humans — not synthetic identities made up from nowhere. Every twin on Twinnin starts with a real person, real consent, and a real record of ownership and usage.
What is a digital twin?
A digital twin is an AI-generated representation of your visual likeness and, where applicable, your voice, created from the materials you provide. It can be used for licensed commercial purposes, depending on the permissions you choose.
Do I have to monetise my identity to join?
No. You can join Twinnin purely to register and protect your likeness without ever making it available for commercial licensing. Your profile can be protection-only.
Who is Twinnin for?
Twinnin is for actors, models, creators, performers, professionals, parents managing minors, and anyone who wants more control over how their face and voice are used in AI.
Protection & Provenance
Why would I register my face and voice?
Because AI can now recreate faces and voices very convincingly. Most people have no formal record proving when they registered their likeness, what they consented to, or how it may be used. Twinnin creates that structure.
What does “immutable provenance” mean?
It means Twinnin creates a record that is timestamped, cryptographically secured, and cannot be altered or backdated after the fact. Twinnin’s provenance technology timestamps and encrypts source materials and registers a cryptographic proof on blockchain infrastructure to support proof of ownership and misuse detection.
Does provenance mean I’m automatically legally protected everywhere?
No. Twinnin does not create new legal rights. What it does do is create stronger evidence: when your likeness was registered, what materials were submitted, what permissions were given, and what licensed activity occurred. That can help support enforcement if misuse happens.
How does Twinnin help if someone uses my likeness without permission?
Twinnin creates a documented reference point that may help demonstrate prior registration, ownership history, usage boundaries, and licensed commercial activity. Talent are also expected to notify Twinnin if they suspect unauthorised use, and Twinnin can investigate misuse within the platform context.
Can I just register for protection and never be shown to buyers?
Yes — that is the protection-only path.
Will Twinnin use my photos without paying me?
Not for commercial licensing. If you are on a protection-only setup, your likeness is not made available for licensing. If you opt into monetisation, your usage is governed by your selected usage terms and the platform’s licensing framework.
Is registering on Twinnin like “giving away my face forever”?
No. That is exactly the kind of fear Twinnin is designed to address. What matters is the structure around consent, licensing, and permitted use. Twinnin lets you define those parameters up front.
Control & Consent
Do I control how my twin is used?
Yes. You set your usage terms, including permitted use cases, duration, exclusivity, adaptation rights, and other restrictions. Buyers may only use your twin within those terms.
What kinds of restrictions can I set?
Examples include:
face only, voice only, or both
industries or project types
duration
geography
adaptation permissions
exclusivity
prohibited categories
Your usage terms are part of the licensing structure.
Are there prohibited uses?
Yes. Prohibited uses include political content or campaigns, adult or sexually explicit content, hate speech, harassment, misinformation, religious content, gambling or alcohol where restricted by law, and anything else specifically restricted by your usage terms.
Can my twin be changed or edited?
Your usage terms can govern adaptation rights. The legal draft also notes that a digital twin may not be 100% identical to your physical appearance and that reasonable variations may occur during creation, but uses outside authorised terms are not permitted.
Can I say no to whole categories of work?
Yes. The platform is designed around structured permissions and restrictions.
Can I be enterprise-only or avoid low-budget creator work?
That is aligned with the direction you’ve described for platform controls. Public FAQ wording can say: “Twinnin is designed to give talent control over the types of opportunities they appear in.”
Monetisation
How do I make money on Twinnin?
If you opt into monetisation, brands, agencies, production companies, and other buyers can license your digital twin for authorised commercial use. You receive licence fees according to the applicable pricing tier and usage terms, minus Twinnin’s commission and any other agreed deductions.
What kinds of work can my twin be licensed for?
Depending on your settings, your twin may be licensed for advertising, marketing, content creation, film production, AI-driven commercial projects, and other permitted uses. The privacy policy also references use by brands, agencies, filmmakers, content creators, and other buyers.
Do I get paid every time my twin is used?
For licensed use through the platform, payment is tied to the licence fee structure. Renewals, extensions, and different use cases should be handled within the licensing framework.
How and when do I get paid?
Payouts are processed through your Stripe Connected Account. Draft terms say payouts are processed within 30 days of Twinnin receiving cleared funds from the buyer, provided your Stripe account is active and in good standing.
Do I need Stripe to get paid?
Yes. You must create and maintain a Stripe Connected Account to receive payouts.
What currency do payouts use?
The draft terms state Twinnin’s preferred currency is USD, and if funds are received in another currency, conversion is handled by Stripe.
Does Twinnin take a commission?
Yes. Twinnin deducts commission according to the applicable pricing tier before remitting the balance to talent.
Do I pay tax on my earnings?
You are responsible for your own tax compliance, reporting, VAT, and local obligations. Twinnin does not provide tax advice.
Registration & Onboarding
How do I join Twinnin?
The draft onboarding flow is:
create an account
pay the platform fee
complete KYC
upload source materials
choose usage terms
accept the terms
submit your profile for publication or protection-only setup.
What is KYC and why do I need it?
KYC stands for Know Your Customer. It’s identity verification used to confirm your age and identity, and for minors, the age, identity, and parental responsibility of the parent or guardian.
What do I need to upload?
You may need to upload photographs and, where applicable, video footage and voice recordings, in line with the platform’s digital twin creation guidelines.
Can I join if I’m under 18?
Yes, but only through a parent or legal guardian, who must create the account in their own name, complete KYC, prove their relationship to you, and manage the account on your behalf.
Are minors shown publicly on the platform?
The draft documents say minors are not publicly displayed without express written parental or guardian consent, and in the Terms draft minors’ profiles are only made available on request from buyers.
Can agents or managers use Twinnin?
Yes. The Privacy Policy recognises agents and managers as a user group who can track represented talent account details and projects, though they cannot independently upload talent materials
Data, Privacy & Security
Is my data secure?
Twinnin’s Privacy Policy says it uses appropriate security measures to prevent personal data being lost, misused, or accessed without authorisation, and limits access to people with a genuine business need to know.
What data does Twinnin collect?
Depending on how you use the platform, Twinnin may collect identity data, contact details, source materials, financial and transaction data, account details, technical data, usage data, and marketing preferences.
Does Twinnin process biometric data?
Yes. The Privacy Policy states that biometric data, including photographs, voice recordings, and video footage, may be processed to create digital twins. This is treated as special category data, with explicit consent relied on for processing.
Where is my data stored?
The Privacy Policy states that Google Cloud Platform is used for secure cloud storage of source materials, digital twin assets, and platform data.
Does Twinnin put my photos or voice directly on the blockchain?
No. The Privacy Policy says blockchain records contain cryptographic proofs such as hashes and timestamps, not directly identifying biometric data.
Can Twinnin sell my data?
Public-facing answer should be: Twinnin does not sell your data as a general data broker. Where you have separately opted in, your source materials may be licensed for AI model training and dataset development, with compensation, under your consent settings and the platform terms. The Privacy Policy expressly says this requires separate, explicit opt-in consent.
Can my materials be used to train AI?
Only if you have separately and explicitly opted into that use. The Privacy Policy says consent is granular and separate for AI model training and dataset licensing.
Can I withdraw consent?
For adult talent, the draft privacy policy states that once a valid licence has been granted and is being used in accordance with the agreed usage terms, consent cannot be withdrawn for that specific licensed use during the licence term. You still retain control over future uses not covered by existing licences.
Can I delete my data?
You have GDPR rights, including erasure in certain circumstances. The drafts also state that some records may need to be retained for legal, compliance, payment, tax, or dispute reasons, and blockchain hashes/timestamps are immutable by design.
What happens when I leave Twinnin?
The draft Terms say Twinnin will remove your profile from public listing and stop granting new licences. After termination and the expiry of active licences, source materials and the associated AI model are to be permanently deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements. Existing licences continue for their agreed term.
Rights, Ownership & Legal Position
Do I still own my face and voice?
Yes. Twinnin does not take ownership of your identity. The legal drafts are structured around licensing and platform rights, not transfer of your underlying likeness rights.
Who owns my digital twin?
Your digital twin is based on your approved materials and your rights remain central to the platform structure. The platform owns its own technology and infrastructure, while the legal drafts recognise that intellectual property in digital twins remains owned by the talent.
Does Twinnin become my exclusive agent?
The draft Terms currently state that Twinnin acts as exclusive agent for the purpose of granting talent licences to buyers on the talent’s behalf.
This is an area where your public FAQ may need a softened explanation if agency relationships are sensitive.
Can I still work outside Twinnin?
The Terms include obligations to disclose licensing or use of your digital likeness by buyers outside the platform.
This is another area to make sure is commercially aligned before publishing a public FAQ.
What if I have an agency or exclusivity agreement elsewhere?
You should only join if you have the right to grant the licences contemplated by the platform and are not subject to conflicting exclusivity obligations.
What if someone uploads materials they don’t have rights to?
The draft Terms make the talent responsible for ensuring source materials are accurate and do not infringe third-party rights.
Can buyers use my twin however they want once licensed?
No. Buyers may only use your twin for authorised use and within your usage terms and the applicable licence. Any other use is a breach.
Do I retain moral rights?
The draft Terms say talent retains moral rights in their likeness, including the right to object to derogatory treatment outside authorised use.
Minors, Parents & Guardians
Can children join Twinnin?
Yes, but only through a parent or legal guardian. The account must be created and managed by the adult, who must complete KYC and prove parental responsibility.
Are minors protected differently?
Yes. The Privacy Policy states enhanced protections apply to minors, including parental consent, stronger content restrictions, enhanced security, and the ability for parents/guardians to control the account.
Can minors be used in any campaign type?
No. The Privacy Policy says minors face additional restrictions and cannot be used for harmful, exploitative, or inappropriate uses, including alcohol, gambling, adult content, and political campaigns.
What happens when a minor turns 18?
The Privacy Policy says they may be notified of their right to object to continued processing, update usage terms, or request erasure.
Buyer & Marketplace Questions
Who can hire a twin?
Brands, production companies, advertising agencies, content creators, filmmakers, and other commercial buyers may license twins through the platform.
Can buyers browse profiles directly?
Yes, for registered talent profiles, buyers can browse profiles and obtain licences, subject to platform access and the talent’s usage terms. For minors, visibility is more restricted.
Can I choose which types of buyers can access me?
That is consistent with your platform direction and should be expressed in public copy as usage controls and profile preferences.
Can my twin be used in advertising, film, fashion, retail, or training data?
Potentially yes, if you allow it through your permissions and pricing tier, and if the use falls within the platform’s authorised licensing structure.
Platform Fees & Support
Do I pay to join Twinnin?
Yes. The draft Terms say the annual platform fee is payable during onboarding before profile activation.
What happens if I don’t pay the subscription fee?
Access can be suspended or terminated if fees are not paid.
Can fees change?
Yes. The draft Terms allow Twinnin to increase subscription fees at the end of an annual cycle with at least 30 days’ notice.
How do I contact Twinnin if something goes wrong?
The Terms provide a dispute contact path via email and outline an informal resolution process, followed by mediation and arbitration if needed.
Can Twinnin suspend or remove my account?
Yes, for reasons including non-payment, screening failure, material breach, fraud, or unlawful/deceptive conduct.
Brand Safety & Quality
How does Twinnin help protect my reputation?
Twinnin is built around structured permissions, prohibited-use categories, usage tracking, and the principle of dignified and accurate representation. The Terms and platform structure are meant to reduce misuse and create accountability.
Can my twin be used to say things I would never say?
Only within the permitted terms and project scope you authorise. This is one of the most important reasons to set your usage terms carefully.
Is Twinnin anti-actor or anti-human?
No. Twinnin is designed specifically so that real humans remain in control of how their identity is used in AI, rather than being excluded from the system.
