The problem you already have

Every AI frame is now a legal liability.

Your creative team is producing AI-generated content faster than your legal team can review it. Faces appear in storyboards, social cuts, broadcaster spots, and synthetic actors — many trained on data nobody licensed.

Regulators are catching up. SAG-AFTRA is litigating. The EU AI Act enters full enforcement in August 2026. California §927 is live. Your distribution partners are starting to ask for chain-of-consent documentation you can't produce.

This is no longer a creative team problem. It's a procurement and risk problem. The fix is licensed source material from verified humans, with audit-ready paper.

  • Distribution refusalREGULATORY
Broadcasters increasingly require chain-of-consent for AI-generated content in EU and California markets. No paper, no slot.
  • Talent litigationIP RISK
Scarlett Johansson v. OpenAI was the first. SAG-AFTRA is funding more. Right of publicity claims average $1.4M.
  • Insurance exclusionCOMMERCIAL
E&O carriers now excluding AI-generated likeness claims by default. You need underwriting that covers it.
  • Brand exposureREPUTATIONAL
One viral "this AI character looks just like me" tweet kills a campaign. The next one ends a CMO career.
What you get

Six things every campaign team needs. In one platform.

Twinnin replaces the patchwork of casting agencies, individual releases, and AI policy footnotes with a single audit-ready registry. Your team gets faces. Your legal team gets paper. Your CFO gets predictable spend.

1

Verified humans

Every twin is identity-verified with government ID and liveness check. No synthetic identities, no scraped images, no anonymous data. Real people who can sign real contracts.

eKYC · GDPR-compliant
2

Granular licensing

Per-use, per-territory, per-duration. You licence exactly what you need — UK campaign for six months, EU broadcast for two years, global digital for one quarter — and nothing more.

Per-use envelopes
3

Audit trail

Every consent, every approval, every fee, every revocation logged with immutable timestamps. Pass procurement review. Pass broadcaster compliance. Pass regulator audit.

Full chain-of-consent
4

Revocation SLAs

If a twin revokes consent mid-campaign, downstream use is suppressed on a defined SLA — 72 hours for standard, 24 hours for premium. The full lifecycle is logged for your insurer.

72h standard · 24h premium
5

Distribution indemnity

Twinnin underwrites the consent chain. If a twin disputes a licensed use, our indemnity covers it — not your E&O carrier, not your distribution partner. We hold the risk because we hold the paper.

How it works

From search to signed licence.

Four steps. Typically under 48 hours from request to active licence on a standard deal. Strategic deals — broadcaster archives, multi-year exclusivity — run a longer review with our enterprise team.

01

Search the registry

Filter by physical attributes, location, age range, language, exclusivity status, prior usage. Shortlist 5–25 verified humans.

Compliance

Built for every framework that matters.

Twinnin's licence envelope is designed against current and incoming regulation across the markets where AI-generated content gets distributed. We track legislation across 18 jurisdictions. Below are the frameworks we're built for first.

EU AI Act

EUROPEAN UNION

Full enforcement from 2 August 2026. Every AI-generated likeness used in EU-distributed content must be labelled, consented, and traceable. Twinnin's licence envelope satisfies Article 50 disclosure requirements out of the box.

Built-in compliance

NO FAKES Act

UNITED STATES

Federal right of publicity for digital replicas. Establishes a property right in voice and likeness that can be licensed but not transferred. Twinnin licences map directly to the Act's "authorised digital replica" category.

Mapped & ready

California §927

CALIFORNIA

SB 1047 and AB 2602 require informed consent for AI replicas of performers. Active enforcement since 2025. Twinnin's per-use envelope structure provides the granular consent the statute requires.

Statute-aligned

SAG-AFTRA AI Provisions

UNION CONTRACTS

2023 strike settlement established consent, compensation, and notification standards for AI use of performer likeness. Twinnin meets all three pillars and integrates with SAG-AFTRA's payment infrastructure where applicable.

Provisions met

UK GDPR & DPA 2018

UNITED KINGDOM

Biometric data is special category data under UK GDPR. Twinnin is ICO-registered, performs DPIAs on every enterprise deal, and maintains biometric data in encrypted off-chain storage with regional residency controls.

ICO member

Ofcom Broadcasting Code

UK BROADCAST

UK broadcasters increasingly require synthetic-media disclosures and source-of-likeness documentation under the Ofcom Code. Twinnin's audit trail satisfies pre-transmission compliance review at major UK broadcasters.

The licence envelope

What you're actually buying.

Every Twinnin licence is a structured rights container — not a static contract. It defines exactly what's permitted, where, by whom, for how long, with what restrictions. Every parameter is auditable.

The envelope is the moat. Buyers underwrite against it. Insurers underwrite against it. Distribution partners check it. When a regulator asks "what gave you the right to use this likeness?", the envelope is the answer.

You can layer your own internal restrictions on top of the envelope. You can negotiate exclusivity, first-look, or category lockouts. You can pre-clear specific uses at scale through master agreements.

Broadcasters

Archive resurrection & presenter continuity

Use existing presenter likeness to localise content across markets, dub into new languages, or extend archive value — with the presenter's explicit, time-bound consent.

  • Sponsor consent paper acceptable to Ofcom pre-clearance
  • Presenter retains revocation rights and category control
  • Revenue share configurable on master agreement
Brands

AI-generated campaigns & social cutdowns

Produce social variants, regional adaptations, and AI-assisted cutdowns from a single shoot. Every variant uses licensed source material; every use is logged.

  • One licence per twin, unlimited variants within territory
  • Procurement-grade contracts with indemnity included
  • Volume pricing on annual master agreements
Agencies

Synthetic actors for storyboards & pitches

Create pitch-ready synthetic actors for client presentations and pre-visualisation. Licensed faces, no IP risk, no rough-cut leaks turning into talent disputes.

  • Pitch licence tier — limited duration, limited distribution
  • Upgrade to production licence on campaign win
  • White-label option for major agency networks
Production

Background talent & crowd extension

Populate crowd scenes, background plates, and digital doubles with licensed humans rather than scraped data. Lower risk than synthetic generation, lower cost than booking 200 extras.

  • Bulk licence pricing for crowd scenes
  • Demographic filtering for casting accuracy
  • SAG-AFTRA-compatible workflow available

Enterprise FAQ

The questions procurement actually asks.

01

Who's liable if a twin disputes our licensed use?

Twinnin is. Every licence carries a Twinnin-underwritten indemnity that covers good-faith use within the licence envelope. We hold the consent paper, so we hold the legal risk on disputes about whether consent was given. You're protected when you stay within the envelope you bought.
02

What happens if a twin revokes consent mid-campaign?

Standard licences carry a 72-hour takedown SLA from notification. Scale plans get 24 hours. We notify you, we log the revocation, downstream use stops on a defined timeline, the full lifecycle is in your audit trail. We do not retroactively penalise pre-revocation use that was within the envelope.
03

How does this work with our existing casting workflow?

We integrate with Spotlight directly today. Custom integrations with internal casting systems available on Scale and Strategic plans. The Twinnin API supports headless workflows, so your existing creative tools can call the registry directly. We don't replace your casting team — we give them a registry of pre-cleared talent.
04

Can we negotiate exclusivity, first-look, or category lockouts?

Yes. Every variable on the licence envelope is negotiable. Common arrangements include category exclusivity (e.g. "no other beauty brand for 12 months"), territory exclusivity, first-refusal rights, and pre-clearance pools. Strategic plans get bespoke envelope structures.
05

Where is biometric data stored, and who has access?

Biometric data is held in encrypted off-chain storage with regional residency. UK and EEA data stays in EU-based infrastructure. Access is limited to Twinnin's verification team and the twin themselves. We perform DPIAs for every enterprise deal and our ICO registration is current.
06

Do you handle SAG-AFTRA-bound productions?

Yes. Twinnin's consent and compensation structure is aligned with the SAG-AFTRA 2023 settlement provisions on AI use of performer likeness. Where applicable, we integrate with union payment infrastructure. We're a member-friendly platform — a number of working actors are on the registry through their agents.
07

What's the procurement and onboarding process?

Project plans onboard in under 24 hours, self-serve, master service agreement included. Scale plans run a procurement track — typically 2 to 4 weeks including DPIA, security review, and MSA negotiation. Strategic deals are bespoke and timed to your distribution calendar.
08

Why should we trust a startup with this?

Fair question. We're backed by Google, NVIDIA, and SFC Capital. We're ICO-registered. Our founder spent 20 years at Unilever and Vodafone in global brand leadership. The technical team has built consent infrastructure at Stripe-scale. The legal team comes from media law and entertainment IP. And we hold the risk on every deal we underwrite — that's the alignment.
